Rock slide on Rte. 4 near Vermont border

The Albany Times-Union is reporting that a rock slide has closed Route 4 in Fort Ann, just across the border from Fair Haven Monday morning. The story:

Emergency responders at the scene of a rock slide on Route 4 said they believe no one was injured in the Monday morning incident.

Several boulders, some the size of a small house, fell across the road to a length of about 50 feet, just south of the intersection of routes 4 and 22.

The major thoroughfare between Washington County and Vermont will be closed for at least 20 hours as heavy equipment operators clear the road, State Police said.
