Man charged with DUI after found asleep at the wheel in a field

When police responded to a report of a vehicle off the road in a Newbury field early Sunday morning, they found an 18-year-old man asleep at the wheel.

That man, Joshua Sanborn, was cited for DUI. Sanborn had gone off the road, tried to get his car back on the road with no success, and then went to sleep at the junction of Scotch Hollow and Wallace Hill roads. Police processed Sanborn at the Bradford barracks and cited him for two other offenses: driving off the road and drinking while under the age of 21.
