Irene victim has all copper pipe stripped from her home

READSBORO – All the copper piping was stolen from the home of an 87-year-old Irene victim who had not been living in the home because of storm damage, State Police said. They received a call Tuesday from a family member of the woman, whose home on School Street in Readsboro was damaged by Tropical Storm Irene. The woman had been checking on the property regularly.

  1. time to start putting serial numbers on your plumbing fixtures!  These thieves would not be stealing so much copper and ther metals if the salvage yards were not such a bunch of thieves themselves buying it!!!  Start hitting these salvage companies with fines that are outrageous even to a liberal VT’rs standard, $25K first offense, loss of license for 2nd.
